Monologues From Plays

where do I find short monologues?

I'm auditioning for a play and the requirement is to audition with a "monologue of our choice" that is under one minute. I looked up some monologues that I like but it looks like they are monologues written by average people. Can I use those? I heard it was a bad idea to audition with something famous (ie Shakespeare). I haven't auditioned before so I don't want to make a fool of myself and come with something that is not acceptable. The site that I am getting the monologues from is monologuebloggers.com

1. It is called a library. It has lots of plays in it. Go read them.
2. this is probably a more comprehensive site: http://www.monologuearchive.com/ Depending on what kind of play, and how the directors are, Shakespeare might not be a bad idea. If you know how to deliver a good Shakespearean monologue, you could really impress the director. If you don't want to rule Shakespeare out, here's one in Midsummer Night's Dream.
