Monologues From Plays

Know any good monologues for teenage girls from classic plays?

I'm 16 years old and a big audition is coming up. I need a monologue from a classic play that suits my age, and I'm coming up short. Do you know of any good plays? Monologues from these plays? That are age-appropriate?

  1. Try Mariane in Tartuffe, one of Juliet's speeches in Romeo and juliet, the Jailer's Daughter in two noble kinsmen, any of Antigone's speeches in Antigone
  2. Antigone, The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, Diary of Anne Frank If Shakespeare is an option: Romeo & Juliet (though its overused) Midsummer Night's Dream, the Tempest
