What are good dramatic female monologues? I am auditioning for Les Miserables and need a one minute monologue. I am 17, but I am short so I could say something a little young for my age, but I also have been cast as older parts, so I could do something a bit more mature. They would prefer monologues from plays or musicals. I would really appreciate help!!!

Good dramatic female monologues? I've been running around trying to find a good monologue, and I'm interested in taking the next step in performing monologues. I want to do something that will move the audience. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of miscarriage. I don't want to offend anyone who has actually gone through that. I'm only interested in portraying a character who has just had a miscarriage, and focuses on putting her and her husband's life back together. Somewhere along those lines, if not close. I Need a Powerful Dramatic Female Monologue? it HAS to be 5 - 10 minutes in length, or i will be disqualified. It is for a contest and i have been having a very hard time finding one i really like. it is a soliloquy/ monologue from one person [it can have portions where the person is conversing with another person, but only brief parts]. i want something that i can cry in and have others cry about. Last year i did one about a mother who's daughter died and this year i wanted to try a cancer one, drugs one, or another death one, but i can't find anything. It is high school level. I don't really enjoy doing a classical piece. I have done a Dickens one before [the madman] and just didn't enjoy it. I'm an experienced highschooI actress, not a fame-seeker, etc. Have been in twenty-eight shows with a nearby community theater and a traveling company. Just to let you know I'm serious about what I do. Hate to look like an amateur asking for advice, but after so long searching for a monologue with no success, I'm desperate. I'm applying for Governor's School for the Arts - extremely prestigious -and need a female monologue. Preferably, a monologue in which the character is angry or crying. (I was looking at one from August Wilson's Seven Guitars, but I doubt they'll like a young white girl doing a monologue intended for a slightly older, black woman.)
